Media: IDF will control 53% of Gaza in the first phase of the agreement
Israel Defense Forces (IDF) will maintain control over approximately 53% of the Gaza Strip territory.
As reported by BAKU.WS, this was announced on October 9 by the Ynet portal.
"After the IDF withdraws to the agreed withdrawal lines, the army will continue to control 53% of the Gaza Strip - approximately 4% less than what was included in [US President Donald] Trump's 'yellow line'," the message states.
The first stage of Trump's plan for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and hostage deal will be approved by the Cabinet for Political Affairs and Security at 3:00 PM local time (3:00 PM Baku time - ed.) on October 9, and an hour later at a plenary session of the government, according to the publication.
