An Iranian ballistic missile strike on an air base in Kuwait resulted in minor injuries to several American service members and damage to two MQ-9 Reaper drones.

This was reported by Bloomberg, citing a source.

According to the agency's source, Kuwait's air defense systems intercepted a Fateh-110 missile, but its debris fell on the territory of Ali Al Salem Air Base.

Approximately five people — contractors and active-duty service members — sustained minor injuries.

One MQ-9 Reaper drone was completely destroyed, and at least one more sustained serious damage. The cost of such drones is estimated at approximately $30 million per unit.

According to the agency, the strike occurred amid discussions by U.S. President Donald Trump of a possible ceasefire extension agreement with Iran. It was also reported that no decisions were made during a two-hour meeting in the White House Situation Room.

The report notes that the ongoing conflict with Iran, according to sources, is putting pressure on U.S. precision weapons stockpiles, including cruise missiles and air defense systems.

According to the latest Pentagon data, 14 Americans have been killed and more than 400 wounded during the campaign.
