Magnetic storms that hit Earth continue for almost 50 hours

The duration of magnetic storms that hit the Earth with the beginning of the calendar summer has already been almost 50 hours, reported the Laboratory of Solar Astronomy of IKI RAS and ISTP SB RAS.
"The total duration of continuous geomagnetic disturbances as of the current moment is 54 hours," - indicated in the Laboratory, specifying that of this number, 48 hours have already been attributed to storms.
According to the forecast of an employee of the Institute of Applied Geophysics, the magnetic storm will last at least until June 3. The strength of its impact on the earth will change. Thus, in the period from 6:00 to 09:00 (Moscow time) on Tuesday, June 3, the power of the magnetic storm was assessed as strong – G3.
