Judge Frank Caprio, who became famous on the internet for his kindness, has died in the USA

American judge Frank Caprio, who became famous on the internet for his touching performances, died at the age of 88. As reported on August 21 on his Facebook page, the cause of death was pancreatic cancer.
"His legacy lives on in the countless kind acts of people he inspired. In his honor, we will try to bring a little more compassion into the world - just as he did every day," the post states.
Caprio worked for 38 years in the municipal court of Providence, Rhode Island. Many know him from the court TV show "Caught in Providence." Clips from the show went viral on social media, including TikTok, where Caprio had 1.6 million followers. The program was nominated four times for a Daytime Emmy Award.
The judge earned the title of "the kindest in the world" for his compassion in the courtroom and leniency toward people. When making decisions, he often asked defendants' children to help him, and also reduced the amount of fines.
In December 2023, he recorded an emotional video message in which he revealed his diagnosis.
