Italian fashion designer Giorgio Armani has died
Italian fashion designer and entrepreneur, founder of Armani company Giorgio Armani has died at the age of 92. This was reported by La Repubblica.
"Mr. Armani, as he was always respectfully and admiringly called by employees and partners, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones," the company's statement said.
According to employees of his fashion house, Armani continued to work until his last days, fully dedicating himself to the company, creating new collections and numerous innovative projects.
The founder of the Armani brand was born in Piacenza (Northern Italy) in 1934. His friend, architect Sergio Galeotti, helped him create the company in 1975.
This year, Giorgio Armani celebrated the 50th anniversary of his career in fashion.
