Head of the IZMIRAN Space Weather Center Maria Abunina reported that on November 7, Earth will be hit by a new powerful magnetic storm.

As BAKU.WS reports with reference to kp.ru, according to her, the current disturbance level of the planet's magnetic field, measured on a five-point scale (from G1 - "weak" to G5 - "extremely strong"), is at the level of "calm". At the moment, a category G3 storm continues on Earth, which, as the scientist noted, will only end on the afternoon of November 7.

"Indeed, a major magnetic storm has begun, and tomorrow another one is expected - probably stronger. This is associated with coronal mass ejections that occurred on the Sun yesterday," Abunina explained.

She added that clouds of solar plasma will reach Earth in the second half of the day on November 7, causing increased magnetic activity.
