Israel Katz: Ali Larijani eliminated by Israeli Air Force airstrike
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz stated that Iran's National Security Council Secretary Ali Larijani was eliminated in an Israeli Air Force airstrike.
This was reported by Israeli media outlets.
"The Chief of Staff informed me that National Security Council Secretary Larijani and the head of the Basij were eliminated," media outlets quoted Katz as saying.
Earlier, Iranian media reported that Larijani would deliver a message shortly following reports that he had been targeted by an Israeli attack.
Ali Larijani was the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council and an adviser to Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, who was killed on February 28. He played a key role in negotiations on the nuclear program and foreign policy.
