Iran expressed readiness to stop the escalation of conflict with Israel
World 7

Iran has sent signals through Arab intermediaries about its readiness to stop the escalation of conflict with Israel and resume negotiations on its nuclear program.

As reported by BAKU.WS, this information comes from The Wall Street Journal, citing officials in the Middle East and Europe.

It is noted that despite ongoing Israeli airstrikes, Tehran has indicated the possibility of returning to the negotiating table on the condition that the US does not interfere in the conflict. Arab intermediaries have also been instructed to convey to Israel that restraining escalation serves the interests of both sides.

According to sources, the Iranian side seeks to avoid further escalation of the conflict but maintains readiness for retaliatory actions. Previously, Tehran has repeatedly stated that its nuclear program is exclusively peaceful in nature.

Israel began operation "Rising Lion" on the night of June 13, targeting Iran's nuclear program. Less than a day later, the Islamic Republic carried out a retaliatory attack. In the following days, Israel and Iran exchanged strikes again. Both sides reported casualties and injuries as a result of these attacks, acknowledged hits on several facilities in their territories, but stated that the damage was limited.
