Iran announced the complete closure of the Strait of Hormuz
The Persian Gulf Waterway Management Organization (Iran) has announced a complete halt to vessel traffic through the Strait of Hormuz.
This was reported by the Telegram channel "Free Iran."
"Due to numerous inquiries, we would like to draw attention to the following: in connection with the ongoing aggressive actions of the United States Armed Forces in the region, passage through the Strait of Hormuz is currently closed," the statement reads.
It is noted that all applications will be reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis, and permits will be issued gradually once stability and calm have been established.
