Dubai authorities have obligated hotels to support tourists stranded due to flight cancellations.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to the Association of Tour Operators of Russia, the UAE Department of Economy and Tourism has issued an official directive to hotels in Dubai to extend accommodation for foreign guests who are unable to leave the country due to canceled flights.

According to the source, hotels have been advised to maintain the original booking conditions for tourists and not to evict them until the transportation situation normalizes. This concerns travelers whose flights have been canceled or postponed indefinitely.

Furthermore, in cases where a guest is unable to independently cover the cost of additional accommodation, the hotel administration is required to notify the relevant department. The document emphasizes that the hotel sector must demonstrate maximum flexibility and provide comprehensive support to clients who find themselves in difficult circumstances.

According to a Russian tourism industry expert, such a measure reflects the desire of the Emirati authorities to preserve the country's reputation as a reliable and safe travel destination even under transportation restrictions.
