Head of IRGC intelligence killed in US and Israeli airstrikes
The head of the Intelligence Organization of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Seyyed Majid Khademi, was killed on Monday as a result of airstrikes reportedly carried out by the United States and Israel.
This was stated in an official announcement by the IRGC.
As noted in the statement, General Khademi had served the Islamic Revolution, the state system, and the homeland with dedication for nearly half a century, making a significant and lasting contribution to the development of the country's intelligence and defense sectors.
The statement emphasized that the legacy shaped by Khademi will serve as a solid foundation for the future activities of Iran's intelligence community — particularly in countering external threats and plans aimed at undermining the country's stability.
