European leaders discussed settlement of Russian-Ukrainian conflict with Trump
German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, French President Emmanuel Macron, and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer held a telephone conversation with US President Donald Trump, during which they discussed the Washington-proposed plan for resolving the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.
As reported by Oxu.Az with reference to lenta.ru, this was announced by the British Prime Minister's office.
"The leaders discussed the situation around the ongoing US-led peace negotiations, welcoming their efforts to achieve a just and lasting peace in Ukraine and end the bloodshed," the statement said.
Reportedly, all participants in the conversation agreed that the negotiations around the American peace plan represent a "decisive moment" both for Ukraine and its people, as well as for overall security throughout the Euro-Atlantic region.
The parties also confirmed their intention to continue intensive work on the peace plan in the coming days.
