EU Special Representative: Central Asia Should Expand Cooperation with Azerbaijan
Central Asian countries need to more actively develop cooperation with Azerbaijan in a number of areas.
As reported by Oxu.Az, this was stated by the European Union (EU) Special Representative for Central Asia Eduard Stiprais at a special session within the framework of the XIII Baku Global Forum.
According to him, closer interaction between the countries of the region can bring significant benefits.
"Central Asia is at the center of Eurasia and borders states that face their own challenges. It is important for the countries of the region to support each other. Climate and water resource issues are of particular significance for this region, which is why states need to share experiences. Azerbaijan plays an important role for Central Asia, and cooperation with it should be expanded in the areas of security, governance, stability, and economy," he noted.
