Telegram messenger founder Pavel Durov bought his girlfriend Yulia Vavilova a role in a film by Oscar-winning director Spike Lee for $400 thousand (about 32 million rubles).

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Gazeta.Ru, the entrepreneur purchased the participation in the filming for Vavilova at a charity evening at the Cannes Festival. The director personally congratulated the girl on her future debut in his film. What role exactly Yulia will play in this film has not yet been disclosed.

Yulia Vavilova is 25 years old and is a translator from English, Spanish, and Arabic. Her relationship with 40-year-old Durov has been going on for about a year. Vavilova was also with the businessman during his arrest in France in August 2024.

At that time, she reported on social media that due to the stress surrounding Durov's arrest, she lost a child. Yulia shared with her followers that many accused her of Pavel's detention, which caused her to have a panic attack.

Vavilova reported that she learned about her missed miscarriage at ten weeks. Doctors said the baby's heart had stopped beating.
