Donald Trump became the first in history to receive the FIFA Peace Prize
US President Donald Trump received the FIFA Peace Prize at the 2026 FIFA World Cup draw ceremony, held at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington.
"I would like to thank my family and my wonderful first lady. Thank you, Melania," - Trump said upon receiving the award.
The video about the prize emphasized that the US president receives the award, in particular, for his efforts to end several armed conflicts around the world, as well as for ongoing efforts to end the conflict between Ukraine and Russia.
The FIFA Peace Prize was established in 2025, Trump became its first recipient.
