U.S. President Donald Trump answered questions from Haber Global TV channel journalist Eda Tugrul during a press conference following the NATO summit in Ankara.

As reported by Haber Global, the head of the White House commented on the prospects of Turkey's return to the F-35 fighter jet program, the future of bilateral defense cooperation, and the transition of interstate relations to a new stage.

Trump emphasized that under the administration of former President Joe Biden, U.S. relations with Turkey were unsuccessful, but the situation has now changed. According to the politician, since his return to the presidency, the most productive ties have been established between the two countries.

"We have a very strong relationship with Turkey. It is a great country with powerful military capabilities, possessing the second strongest army in NATO. As for the F-35 fighter jets, I have not yet made a final decision. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has helped us a great deal on many issues," the American leader added.
