Details of the attack in the Sea of Azov: wounded Azerbaijanis recounted the moment of the incident

The number of Azerbaijani citizens injured as a result of a drone strike on a Palau-flagged vessel in the Sea of Azov has risen to four.

As reported by APA, another victim - the ship's boatswain Rashad Madatkhanov - was hospitalized in the trauma department of the Yeysk Central City Hospital.

He is currently receiving treatment in the same ward as the other victims - Samid Ibadzade, Emin Valekhov, and Namig Jafarli.

According to available information, the wounded underwent repeated medical examinations. It is reported that Emin Valekhov developed problems with his right ear. Namig Jafarli has hearing impairment in both ears. Rashad Madatkhanov sustained a head injury.

Law enforcement representatives also met with the victims and took their statements. During the interviews, some details of the incident became known.

According to the wounded, the ship's chief engineer Gismet Aliyev sustained severe burns as a result of the drone strike and died.

It is also reported that the ship's captain Fuad Orujov sustained serious injuries and a broken leg during the attack. According to available information, after a life jacket was put on him, he was lowered into the water. According to the victims' testimonies, F. Orujov also perished as a result of the incident.
