Court issued an arrest warrant for co-owner of "Miss Universe" pageant
The Southern District Court of Bangkok has issued an arrest warrant for the Thai co-owner of the "Miss Universe" and "Miss USA" beauty pageants, Jakkapong Jakrajutatip.
As reported by BAKU.WS, according to AP.
Jakrajutatip was first accused of fraud in 2023. In the same year, she was released on bail. On November 25, 2025, the businesswoman did not appear at the Bangkok court hearing as required by law. From this, it was decided that she might be evading justice.
The court hearing has been postponed to December 26.
According to the court statement, a lawsuit was filed against Jakkaphong and her company JKN Global Group Public Co. Ltd. They are accused of deceiving a certain Raviwat Maskamadol in the sale of the firm's corporate bonds. Raviwat claims that he lost 30 million baht (1,583,214.9 manats - ed.) due to the investments. It is noted that the company experienced financial difficulties and declared a technical default. The corporation has debts totaling approximately 3 billion baht (158,321,490 manats - ed.).
In June 2025, Thailand's Securities and Exchange Commission accused Jakrajutatip of falsifying the company's financial statements for 2023. After this, the businesswoman resigned from all positions in the firm.
