Bruce Willis's family moved him to another house due to progressing dementia

Bruce Willis's wife Emma Heming revealed in an interview with ABC that the actor has completely lost his ability to speak due to progressive frontotemporal dementia.
According to her, after years of battling the disease, the family decided to place Willis in a specially equipped single-story house with round-the-clock medical care, where noise is minimized and conditions are created for comfortable movement.
Heming clarified that the first signs of the disease appeared during filming: Willis began forgetting lines and showed detached behavior with loved ones. Despite the loss of speech, the actor retains a limited ability to recognize family members - but the family observes only "faint echoes" of his former personality. His wife emphasized that Willis is in good physical shape, and the main problem is related to cognitive functions.
"Bruce's overall health is good. It's just that his brain is failing him. Speech is gone, and... we've learned to adapt. We communicate with him differently," Heming added.
