The apartment of millionaire blogger Subo (real name - Subkhan Murad oglu Mamedov) in Odintsovo near Moscow has been seized due to tax debts.
As reported by BAKU.WS, this was announced by the Telegram channel Mash.
According to the publication, the two-room apartment with an area of 60 square meters worth 10 million rubles (about 211,000 manats - ed.) will be confiscated and sold to repay part of the debt of 91 million rubles (about 1,924,000 manats - ed.). It is specified that the blogger took out a mortgage for the property back in 2018. He paid off the loan and has not appeared in his apartment since February of this year.
Mash clarified that in the same month, Subo lost his Russian citizenship after providing fake information when applying for a passport. After that, he hurriedly moved to the UAE, as he is wanted for tax evasion and money laundering. Journalists found out that after moving, the blogger earns money through streams (one stream brings him about 100,000 rubles (about 2,115 manats - ed.)) and receives up to 100,000 dollars (about 170,000 manats - ed.) per month from advertising.
In July, the Telegram channel 112 reported that a criminal case was opened against blogger Subo due to multimillion-dollar debts. The investigation believes that Mamedov received revenue from his blogging activities through dummy accounts. According to the channel, the man has accumulated over 50 million in debts to the Federal Tax Service of Russia and fines.
Later, the blogger's father and brother partially compensated his debts to the Federal Tax Service, paying 9 million rubles (about 190,320 manats - ed.).
In February, Mamedov was banned from entering Russia for 70 years for mocking police officers. In May, the Federal Tax Service seized the blogger's accounts.
