Armenia's ruling party has officially approved Pashinyan's candidacy for the post of prime minister
Armenia's ruling party "Civil Contract" has officially approved Nikol Pashinyan's candidacy for the post of prime minister in the upcoming parliamentary elections on June 7.
This was reported by Armenian media outlets.
The decision was made unanimously, announced the deputy chairman of the party's board, Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan, following an open vote.
On the eve, the Prime Minister of Armenia published the proportional electoral list with which the party will enter the parliamentary elections. The list, which includes 283 candidates, is headed by Pashinyan.
