Armenia has banned the import of ice cream from a well-known Russian brand

From July 2, a temporary ban has been imposed on the import to Armenia of a batch of "Vanilla chocolate-cream eskimo plombir in glaze" ice cream by LLC "Real Ice Cream Factory" (brand "Korovka"), produced on March 7 this year, reports BAKU.WS with reference to Armenian media.
According to the press service of the Food Safety Inspection Body, the ban was introduced in accordance with the decision of the head of the department, based on the food safety risk assessment.
The ban applies to batches imported after July 2 of the current year. The restriction does not apply to products imported before this date.
The regulator reminded that a batch of this type of product, produced on March 7, 2025, (100 g, shelf life 18 months) did not comply with the standards established by the technical regulations of the Customs Union in terms of coliform bacteria. An order was issued to prohibit the sale, recall from the market, destroy or dispose of this batch.
