Araghchi named the cost to the US of a military operation against Iran
The United States, contrary to Pentagon estimates, spent approximately $100 billion on strikes against Iran, and the indirect costs for the American people turned out to be even greater.
This opinion was expressed by the head of Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abbas Araghchi.
"The Pentagon is lying. [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu's adventure has already cost America $100 billion, which is four times the declared amount. The indirect costs for American taxpayers are much higher," he wrote on X.
On April 29, Acting U.S. Deputy Secretary of Defense for Finance Jules Hurst stated that the United States had spent approximately $25 billion on the military operation against Iran. He clarified that these were preliminary estimates.
