An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.0 was registered in the central part of Peru. This was reported by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre.
According to EMSC, the epicenter of the earthquake was located 179 km southeast of the city of Ayacucho, where about 140 thousand people live. The focus was at a depth of 92 km.
