A woman accidentally threw a kilogram of gold in the trash

A resident of Turkey accidentally threw away a bag containing gold jewelry and bars worth over 6 million Turkish lira into a dumpster. The family had been saving these valuables for several years, planning to purchase their own home.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Turkish media, the incident occurred in the Akçalar district of Bursa province. While cleaning the house, the woman mistakenly took the bag of jewelry for household waste and carried it out to the dumpster.

According to the head of the family, Sedir Kornaz, the couple only learned about what had happened some time later, when they discovered the gold was missing. Realizing the scale of the mistake, they immediately sought help from the police and local authorities.

Law enforcement agencies are currently determining whether the garbage truck had already transported the contents of the container to the landfill or whether the bag could have been found before the waste was collected. To establish the circumstances of the incident, specialists are examining footage from nearby surveillance cameras.

According to Turkish media, the value of the lost gold exceeds 6 million Turkish lira.
