A man accused of murdering his wife has been arrested in Baku

A preventive measure in the form of arrest for a period of 3 months has been imposed on Vasif Abbasov, accused of murdering his wife, who worked as a teacher at a school in the Surakhani district of Baku.

As Report informs, the corresponding decision was made by the Surakhani District Court, granting the motion of the investigative body.

According to the investigation, on March 20, information was received by the district prosecutor's office about the death of Parvana Abbasova (born in 1990) from sustained injuries.

During the investigation, reasonable suspicions were established that the crime was committed by her husband - Vasif Abbasov (born in 1983).

A criminal case has been initiated on this matter under Article 120.1 (intentional murder) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan. The suspect was detained.
