A court in Armenia has arrested Robert Kocharyan for a period of two months
The Anti-Corruption Court of Armenia has arrested former president of the country Robert Kocharyan for a period of two months.

R. Kocharyan has been charged with money laundering on an especially large scale, abuse of official authority, and accepting bribes on an especially large scale.
Armenian media indicate that the hearing chaired by Judge Sargis Dadoyan began the previous day. During the night, R. Kocharyan was taken to the hospital on doctors' orders, and the consideration of the matter continued without his direct participation.
According to the investigation, he, in collusion with other persons, acquired a number of objects of public and economic significance at a price below market value, using his official position while serving as president of the country.
Within the framework of the criminal proceedings, six persons were detained, including Robert Kocharyan, his son, and other individuals.
