Gastroenterologist Megan Rossi believes that completely giving up sugar not only won't benefit you, but may seriously harm your health.

To understand your norm, she suggests answering three questions: "Do I crave sweets?", "Is this craving getting stronger?", "Are sweets replacing full meals?" If the answers are positive, the doctor advises reducing daily sweet consumption.
