Rovshan Najaf and Konul Mehdiyeva have joined the permanent committees of FIFA

President of the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA) Rovshan Najaf and Vice President of AFFA Konul Mehdiyeva have been appointed as members of the standing committees of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA).
As reported by BAKU.WS, this was announced by AFFA.
According to the changes approved at the 74th FIFA Congress, the structure of the standing committees has been revised. This decision is aimed at expanding the participation of national associations in the decision-making process, taking into account the growth in scale of activities and responsibilities of the organization at the global level.
Following the FIFA Council meeting, the chairs, their deputies and committee members for the period 2025-2029 were approved.
According to the adopted decision, Rovshan Najaf joined the Commercial and Marketing Advisory Committee, and Konul Mehdiyeva joined the Women's Football Development Committee.
These appointments reflect FIFA's commitment to a renewed governance model that envisages broader international participation and ensuring gender balance in the governing structures of world football.
