A minute after the substitution, the American team took the lead thanks to an impressive long-range shot by Telasco Segovia. The match ended in a draw - 2:2. Jordi Alba also scored for Inter Miami, while Thomas Badaloni and Ricardo Monreal scored goals for the Mexican club. The winner was determined in a penalty shootout, where Inter Miami was more accurate - 5:4.
