Hasrat Jafarov: I'm glad that my efforts have borne fruit
Azerbaijani Greco-Roman wrestler Hasrat Jafarov, who won a gold medal at the European Championship in the capital of Slovakia - Bratislava, shared his impressions with journalists.
As Report informs, the athlete, who won in the weight category up to 67 kg, said that he is happy to climb to the highest step of the podium:
"I am very happy to become European champion for the third time in a row. I continued to train without a break. Thank God, my efforts paid off. From the outside, it may seem that becoming a champion three times is easy, but this work has many hidden difficulties."
He also noted that he is aiming for gold at the World Championship:
"I already have silver and bronze medals from the World Championship. I would like to win medals at all major competitions. I also want to become a world champion."
Recall that in the final, Hasrat Jafarov defeated Abu-Muslim Amaev (Bulgaria) and won the gold medal. Overall, the Azerbaijan team finished the tournament with 3 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals, scoring 151 points and taking first place in the team standings.
