Gurban Gurbanov: All teams we will play against are very serious opponents

"First of all, I want to thank our fans once again. Thank you to each of them for their support, for the atmosphere they created at the stadium during the playoff return match with 'Ferencvaros'.

Our fans deserve to see the main stage of the Champions League. I am very happy for them that this season they will be able to watch at least four home games in Baku live," the coach noted.

G.Gurbanov also expressed his opinion about the upcoming opponents.

"All the teams we will meet are very serious opponents. These are the core, historical clubs of their countries. 'Liverpool', 'Chelsea', 'Ajax', 'Napoli', as well as teams like 'Benfica', 'Eintracht', 'Copenhagen' and 'Athletic' - they are all strong and well-known throughout the world.

We will try to prepare as much as possible for these matches. After all, this tournament is a completely different level. The excitement in the Champions League is many times greater. Here, the strength, speed, and the course of the game itself are completely different. We understand that this is a huge responsibility. We will try to compete with dignity and bring joy to our fans," emphasized the head coach.

Note that in the main stage, "Qarabag" will play away against "Liverpool" (England), "Benfica" (Portugal), "Napoli" (Italy) and "Athletic" (Spain), and in Baku will host "Chelsea" (England), "Eintracht" (Germany), "Ajax" (Netherlands) and "Copenhagen" (Denmark).
