Azerbaijan once again showed that it can excellently host prestigious competitions.

As BAKU.WS reports with reference to Report, this was stated by the Minister of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan Farid Gaibov.

The minister, in a conversation with journalists after the award ceremony of the World Futsal Championship in Baku, noted that the tournament was organized at a high level.

"We have had success in futsal before. The national team won a gold medal at the European Championship. This world championship title has been added to that success. The Azerbaijani people are delighted. Many thanks to the fans who did not leave the national team. Azerbaijan has once again confirmed that it can excellently host such competitions. Ahead of us are the UFC tournament and the CIS Games. I am confident that we will honorably withstand these challenges as well," said F. Gaibov.

It should be noted that the Azerbaijan national team defeated Hungary 4:2 in the final and became the world champion.
