Azerbaijan national futsal team became European champions

The Azerbaijan national mini-football team became the champion of the European Championship held in Slovakia.

As Report informs, the team led by head coach Elshad Guliyev defeated the Ukrainian national team in the final.

The match at the "Tipos Arena" ended with a score of 2:0.

The goals were scored by Mirmehdi Rzayev and Isa Atayev.

Thus, the Azerbaijan national mini-football team became a two-time European champion. Previously, the team won the title in 2022.

It should be recalled that the day before, the Azerbaijan national team defeated the Serbian national team in a penalty shootout 3:1 in the semifinal match, the regular time of which ended 1:1. The team, which won Group F against Austria (1:0), Italy (3:0), and France (3:2), defeated Kazakhstan (3:2) in the round of 16 and Czech Republic (5:2) in the quarterfinals.
