12-time world champion from Azerbaijan sets new record at European Championship

Outstanding Azerbaijani judoka Farhad Rajabli once again confirmed his status as a sports legend, winning a gold medal at the European Veterans Championship, which is taking place in the Latvian capital Riga, reports BAKU.WS with reference to Trend.
The athlete, who competed in the 90 kg weight category, defeated all opponents and won this title for the 11th time. In the final of the M-8 age category, the judoka defeated Ukrainian Alexander Rangaev by ippon.
Farhad Rajabli is also a 12-time world champion.
It should be noted that Azerbaijan is represented at the competition by 30 athletes. 855 judokas from 37 countries are participating in the continental championship.
