WhatsApp developers have introduced an update aimed at improving the voice message transcription feature.

The first is automatic: voice messages in a supported language will be transcribed immediately upon receipt. This is convenient for those who prefer text instead of audio.

The second is manual: the user will need to manually activate the transcription of each message as needed. This option is suitable for those who only occasionally need transcription.

The third mode is complete transcription deactivation. It is designed for those who prefer to listen to voice messages in their original form.

Each of the options takes into account different user preferences, making the feature flexible and convenient. It's important to note that transcription is only possible for messages in supported languages.
