Weather forecasters made a concerning weather forecast for Azerbaijan
The National Hydrometeorological Service has warned about wind intensification in Azerbaijan in the coming days, issuing yellow and orange alerts.
As Report was informed by the service, strong winds are expected in Baku, on the Absheron Peninsula, and in several regions of the country from March 18 to 23.
In a number of districts, including Agstafa, Tovuz, Ganja, Goygol, Gazakh, Jeyranchol, Shamkir, Samukh, Gedabek, Nakhchivan AR, Beylagan, Fuzuli, Jabrayil, Gubadly, Agdam, Imishli, Salyan, Sabirabad, Bilasuvar, Saatly, Lankaran, Astara, Masally, Mingachevir, Shirvan, Hajigabul, Shamakhi, Ismayilli, Oguz, Gabala, Zagatala, Balakan, Gakh, Shabran, Gusar, Siyazan, Khizi, Khachmaz, Aghjabadi, Altyagach, Goychay, Agdash, Yevlakh, Terter and Barda, northwestern winds with speeds of 13.9-20.7 m/s are expected, corresponding to the yellow level of weather hazard.
In Jalilabad, Lerik, Yardimli, Neftchala, Dashkesan, Sheki, Goranboy, Gobustan, Kalbajar, Lachin and Zangilan, wind gusts up to 20.8-28.4 m/s are forecasted, corresponding to the orange hazard level.
In Baku and on the Absheron Peninsula from March 19 to 23, the northwestern wind will also intensify to 20.8-28.4 m/s, which corresponds to the orange level of weather hazard.
