Weather forecasters have released the weather forecast for Azerbaijan for May

The National Hydrometeorological Service has published the weather forecast for Azerbaijan for May.

As reported by the service, in May the air temperature in the country usually gradually increases.

In recent years, the weather in May has been more variable, with temperature and pressure fluctuations occurring as a result of alternating warm and cold atmospheric fronts moving into the country's territory depending on the season.

It is expected that the average monthly temperature and monthly precipitation in May this year will be close to the climate norm, and in some places higher. In the first days of May, weather conditions in the country will be stable and mostly without precipitation, however, in some mountainous areas, short-term rains and thunderstorms are possible during the day.

The average monthly temperature in Baku and on the Absheron Peninsula is expected to be around 18-20° warm, which is close to and slightly above the climate norm. The air temperature at night will be 15-20° warm, during the day - 22-27° warm, and on some days - 30-35° warm. Monthly precipitation is expected to be close to the climate norm, and in some places higher (norm is 18-21 mm).
