Third Boeing 777 Freighter of Silk Way West Airlines Arrived in Baku

Silk Way West Airlines proudly announces the arrival of its third Boeing 777 freighter at Heydar Aliyev International Airport. This marks another milestone in the airline's strategic fleet renewal program. The aircraft arrived in Baku directly from Boeing's production facility in Seattle, adding to the airline's fleet of new generation cargo aircraft.
This step is part of Silk Way West Airlines' order for 10 Boeing 777F aircraft, with deliveries to be completed by 2030. The new freighters will gradually replace older aircraft in the airline's fleet, significantly improving operational efficiency and reducing environmental impact. The initiative reflects the company's ongoing efforts to achieve environmental goals, including carbon emission reduction and improved fuel efficiency.
Wolfgang Meier, President of Silk Way West Airlines, noted that the arrival of the third Boeing 777F represents another important step in implementing the airline's long-term strategy: "By expanding our fleet with modern and fuel-efficient aircraft, we are not only strengthening our presence in the global market but also confirming our commitment to environmental responsibility. These investments reflect both the changing needs of our customers and our vision for sustainable development in the coming years."
Silk Way West Airlines, founded in 2012 in Baku, at the heart of the Great Silk Road, operates hundreds of flights monthly to more than 40 destinations worldwide. Today, the airline's fleet includes Boeing 777F, 747-8F, and 747-400F aircraft, allowing it to transport over 500,000 tons of cargo annually. The airline expects delivery of two Boeing 777F, two Boeing 777-8F, and two Airbus A350F by 2030, further strengthening its course toward sustainable development and modernization.
