The deadline for admission to extended active military service in the Azerbaijani army has been extended

The deadline for submitting applications for military personnel training courses for extended active military service has been extended to May 30, 2025 at new regional document reception centers.
This was announced by the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan.
It is noted that it is sufficient to personally apply to the regional reception center and submit the necessary documents. The centers will operate in branches and employment services of the State Employment Agency in the cities of Ganja, Kurdamir, Masally, Beylagan, Goranboy, Barda and Guba, as well as at the Heydar Aliyev Institute of the National Defense University in Baku (address: Baku city, Khatai district, Polad Hashimov street, 9a).
Male citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan who have at least a general secondary education, have completed compulsory active military service, are under 35 years of age, as well as former extended service military personnel discharged to the reserve based on subclauses "a" (upon completion of service) and "d" (due to staff reduction) of Article 156 of the "Regulations on Military Service" who have not reached the age of 40 are eligible to participate in the courses.
Candidates who have submitted applications are sent to medical institutions of the Ministry of Defense to determine their fitness for military service. Persons deemed fit for service by decision of the military medical commission are admitted to the next - competitive - stage.
When enrolling in courses, individual psychological and physical preparation, level of general knowledge, military registration and civilian specialty (if any), as well as professional competence of candidates are taken into account. Based on these criteria, they are given the opportunity to choose a specialization.
After successful completion of the course, candidates have the right to independently choose the region of service.
Required documents:
- application for admission to courses;
- questionnaire;
- autobiography (1 copy);
- copy of education document (1 copy);
- copy of birth certificate (1 copy);
- certificate of family composition and place of residence (1 copy);
- if available - copies of documents confirming profession or specialty (diploma, certificate, license, etc.);
- copy of identity card or extract from new generation ID (1 copy);
- copy of driver's license (if available, 1 copy);
- copy of marriage certificate (if married, 1 copy);
- copies of identity cards of spouse and children (1 copy);
- color photographs (full face, without headwear - 6 pcs. 3x4 cm, 2 pcs. 4.5x6 cm, 3 pcs. 9x12 cm);
- notarized copies of all pages of the military ID (1 copy);
- certificates from psychoneurological, narcological, tuberculosis and dermatovenerological dispensaries stating whether the person is registered.
Benefits:
During training period:
- provision of clothing, food, medical care, dormitory accommodation and monthly allowance.
During service:
- assignment of military ranks of junior sergeant, sergeant and senior sergeant;
- compensation for rental of service housing or temporary accommodation;
- one-time material allowance during the year, additional monetary allowance when going on leave, one-time monetary reward in the amount of double salary for impeccable service;
- preferential medical care for family members;
- preferential mortgage;
- state-provided housing for impeccable service in the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan for a period of 20 calendar years or more;
- career growth.
Note:
Please do not apply for courses if you were discharged from extended military service based on subclause "e" of Article 156 of the Regulations (due to service incompatibility), as well as reservists with a criminal record, regardless of whether it has been expunged.
