The Bakikhanov house is in a dilapidated condition and could collapse at any moment

The house where the famous Azerbaijani historian, writer and enlightener of the 19th century Abbasgulu aga Bakikhanov was born and lived is on the verge of collapse.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Xəzər TV, the two-story building located in the Amirjan settlement of Surakhani district in Baku is in a deplorable condition.
According to Rashad Mirzoyev, who calls himself a relative of Bakikhanov, the house has been gradually deteriorating over many years. Currently, only wooden supports are preventing it from collapsing.
According to the man, they have repeatedly appealed to the relevant authorities requesting restoration of the historic building, but there has been no response. The enlightener's descendants want a museum of Abbasgulu aga Bakikhanov to be opened in the restored house.
