Spring surprises: what the weather will be like in Azerbaijan in April

April is characterized as a month that concludes the cold period of the year and begins the warm season. This is why changeable weather is observed throughout the country in April.

As reported to BAKU.WS by the National Hydrometeorological Service, the average monthly air temperature in April is expected to be close to the climatic norm, and in some places 1-2 degrees higher.

The amount of precipitation for the month is expected to be close to the climatic norm, and in some territories slightly higher.

In the first days of April, predominantly precipitation-free weather is expected throughout the country, however, in some northern and western regions, precipitation, thunderstorms, and predominantly northwestern winds are forecast.

In Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, the average monthly air temperature is expected to be 11-13 degrees above zero, which is close to the climatic norm or 1 degree higher. At night, the air temperature will be 8-13 degrees above zero, during the day 15-20 degrees above zero, on some days 25-30 degrees above zero. The amount of precipitation for the month is expected to be close to the climatic norm, and in some places slightly higher (norm 23-33 mm).

In the city of Nakhchivan, Julfa, Ordubad, Sadarak, Shahbuz and Sharur regions, the average monthly air temperature is expected to be 12-15 degrees above zero, which is close to the climatic norm or 1 degree higher. At night, the air temperature will be 7-12 degrees above zero, during the day 15-20 degrees above zero, on some days 27-32 degrees above zero. The amount of precipitation for the month is expected to be close to the climatic norm (norm 34-59 mm).

In Khankendi, Shusha, Goranboy, Khojaly, Khojavend, Agdam, as well as in the Dashkesan-Gedabey regions, the average monthly air temperature is expected to be 8-12 degrees above zero, which is close to the climatic norm. At night, the air temperature will be 5-10 degrees above zero, on some days down to 5 degrees below zero, during the day 12-17 degrees above zero, on some days 23-28 degrees above zero. The amount of precipitation for the month is expected to be close to the climatic norm, and in some places slightly higher (norm 49-83 mm).

Eastern Zangezur: in Jabrayil, Kalbajar, Gubadli, Lachin, Zangilan regions, the average monthly air temperature is expected to be 10-14 degrees above zero, which is within the climatic norm. At night, the air temperature will be 5-10 degrees above zero, on some days down to 5 degrees below zero, during the day 13-18 degrees above zero, on some days 22-27 degrees above zero. The amount of precipitation for the month will be close to the climatic norm (norm 46-64 mm).

In Gazakh, Ganja, Agstafa, Shamkir, Tovuz, Jeyranchol, Terter, Fuzuli regions, the average monthly air temperature is expected to be 12-14 degrees above zero, which is close to the climatic norm. At night, the air temperature will be 8-13 degrees above zero, during the day 15-20 degrees above zero, on some days 25-30 degrees above zero. The amount of precipitation for the month is expected to be close to the climatic norm (norm 31-54 mm).

In Balakan, Zagatala, Gakh, Sheki, Oguz, Gabala, Ismayilli, Agsu, Shamakhi, Siyazan, Shabran, Khizi, Guba, Khachmaz, Gusar regions, the average monthly air temperature is expected to be 9-13 degrees above zero, which is close to the climatic norm. At night, the air temperature will be 7-12 degrees above zero, in the mountains 2-7 degrees below zero, during the day 12-17 degrees above zero, on some days 23-28 degrees above zero, in the mountains 2-7 degrees above zero, on some days 15-20 degrees above zero. The amount of precipitation for the month is expected to be close to the climatic norm, and in some places slightly higher (norm 29-126 mm).

In Yevlakh, Goychay, Agdash, Kurdamir, Imishli, Aghjabadi, Mingachevir, Beylagan, Sabirabad, Saatly, Shirvan, Hajigabul, Zardab, Salyan, Neftchala regions, the average monthly air temperature is expected to be 13-16 degrees above zero, which is close to the climatic norm or 1 degree higher. At night, the air temperature will be 9-14 degrees above zero, during the day 19-24 degrees above zero, on some days 27-32 degrees above zero. The amount of precipitation for the month is expected to be close to the climatic norm (norm 30-49 mm).

In Masalli, Yardimli, Lerik, Lankaran, Bilasuvar, Astara, Jalilabad regions, the average monthly air temperature is expected to be 9-14 degrees above zero, which is close to the climatic norm. At night, the air temperature will be 8-13 degrees above zero, in the mountains 0-2 degrees below zero, during the day 13-18 degrees above zero, on some days 22-27 degrees above zero, in the mountains 6-11 degrees above zero. The amount of precipitation for the month is expected to be close to the climatic norm (norm 41-72 mm).
