Raxana Ismayilova's complaint against the arrest decision has been accepted for processing

An appeal has been filed against the decision to arrest singer Raksana Ismayilova, accused of fraud.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to APA, the appeal has been accepted for proceedings in the Baku Court of Appeal. It will be considered on August 21 under the chairmanship of Judge Gadim Babayev.

Recall that on August 16 in the Sabunchi district of Baku, as a result of measures carried out by police officers based on citizens' complaints, Raksana Ismayilova (born 1979) was detained on charges of fraud.

During the investigation, it was established that the singer fraudulently took possession of gold jewelry from two victims totaling 35,000 manats and cash in the amount of 520,000 dollars.

Based on these facts, the Sabunchi District Police Department initiated a criminal case under the article of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan on fraud causing especially large damage, and R.Ismayilova was detained as an accused and brought to investigation.

By court decision, a preventive measure in the form of arrest for a period of four months was chosen against her.
