In Azerbaijan, these persons can receive free housing

Acquiring own housing for low-income citizens of Azerbaijan has always been a challenging task. However, recent changes to the Housing Code, considered in the Milli Majlis, are aimed at solving this acute social problem.
According to Baku.ws, under the updated legislation, low-income citizens and persons in need of social protection will be provided with housing units under social rental agreements from funds managed by both the state and municipalities.
Citizens will be able to register for social housing by applying to local executive authorities or municipalities at their place of residence. It is important to note that this opportunity will be provided only once, repeated applications are not allowed.
The social housing fund is mainly at the disposal of executive authorities, which use the corresponding property on their balance sheet for these purposes. These legislative changes will strengthen the social protection of low-income citizens, allowing them to become homeowners without making payments and monthly rent.
When contacted, Leyla Guliyeva, the chief consultant of the department of socio-political and humanitarian issues of the Binagadi District Executive Authority, stated that this matter is still at the stage of bill discussion and has not yet been approved.
