Snow cover in Lerik region reached 62 cm

As reported by Baku.ws, this information is stated in the weather report of the National Hydrometeorological Service.

According to information at 9:00, precipitation and wind were observed across the country. Snow fell in some places in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, as well as in mountainous and foothill regions.

The snow cover depth reached 62 cm in Lerik, 19 cm in Gryz, 17 cm in Yardymly, 10 cm in Kalbajar, 8 cm in Shusha, 7 cm in Lachin and Khaltan, 6 cm in Zagatala (Alibey), 4 cm in Khinalig, 2 cm in Tovuz, Dashkesan, and Gadabay, 1 cm in Goygol, Jeyranchol, Sheki, and some places in the capital and Absheron. Wind gusts weakened to 10-15 m/s in the morning hours.

According to the "Oil Rocks" station, wave height in the open sea reached 3.6 meters. Fog was observed in Dashkesan, Gadabay, Sheki, Gakh, Gabala, Zagatala, Shamakhi, Aghstafa, Lerik, and Goygol, limiting visibility to 500-1000 m in some places.

The minimum air temperature in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, in lowland areas was around 0 degrees, in the Nakhchivan AR - minus 9 degrees, and in mountainous regions minus 14-19 degrees.
