In Azerbaijan, a five-year-old child accidentally swallowed mercury from a thermometer

In the village of Pireza in Agdash district, a five-year-old child was urgently taken to hospital after breaking a thermometer in his mouth and swallowing mercury.

According to Baku.ws citing Lent.az, the victim is a 5-year-old village resident N.Alkhazzade. The incident occurred at home when the child accidentally broke a thermometer that was in his mouth.

The child was immediately taken to the hospital with a diagnosis of mercury poisoning. After receiving necessary medical care, the child's condition stabilized, and he was released home.
