Happy news for metro and railway users

Rail transport - metro and railway systems - is considered one of the most effective solutions for sustainable development of large cities.
According to BAKU.WS, these types of transport not only accelerate daily movement but also significantly impact the reduction of traffic congestion, environmental protection, and enhancement of the city's economic potential.
Baku, as a rapidly growing metropolis, is preparing for comprehensive changes in this direction. To ease the capital's transport load and create more flexible communication opportunities, both the expansion of the metro and the development of railway lines are envisaged.
The new development scheme, prepared and presented to the public by transport expert Azer Akhundov, clearly reflects the changes planned in Baku's rail transport system until 2030.

This map, compiled according to the latest approved state program, shows in detail not only the existing lines but also those under construction and future planned metro and railway routes.
It is particularly important to note that this map was prepared not by official structures but by an independent expert. Azer Akhundov reported that he compiled it based on the state program, and due to the lack of detailed information about the plans of "Azerbaijan Railways" (ADY), the map only indicates the stops provided for in the master plan.
Key points of the map:
Opening of new metro lines and extension of existing ones (for example, 8 November-B4, Shah Ismail Khatai-Y17, Zabrat-Mashtaga-Baglar, etc.)
Creation of railway connections Baku-Sumgayit, Baku-Khyrdalan, Sea Breeze-Pirshagi
Laying a rail transport line to Heydar Aliyev International Airport
Providing access by metro or train to residential areas of Govsan, Surakhany, Mashtaga, Guzdek.
It should be noted that the implementation of the innovations indicated on the map in the field of metro and railway is important for the capital's residents in terms of improving everyday life, reducing traffic jams, and accessing faster, safer public transport.
These innovations will ensure faster movement of suburban residents to the center and back, while helping to reduce dependence on cars, decreasing air pollution and energy consumption. The commissioning of new metro lines and railway connections will also increase the socio-economic dynamism of the city, strengthening the integration of various districts with each other.
