A former forced migrant allegedly demands money from the apartment owner for vacating the housing where she settled.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Xəzər Tv, the circulated audio recording allegedly belongs to Mehriban Huseynova, a former forced migrant from the village of Muradkhanli in Gubadli district, who currently lives in someone else's house in the city of Sumgayit.

According to allegations, she threatened Selminaz Verdieva, who 32 years ago provided her four-room apartment to forced migrants for shelter. Moreover, for eviction, she demanded a total of 20 thousand manats for herself and her sister-in-law.

Mehriban Huseynova does not deny that the audio recording belongs to her.

The real owner of the apartment, Selminaz Verdieva, stated that despite having her own housing, she is forced to live in a dormitory. The owner added that she demanded Mehriban Huseynova and her sister-in-law to vacate the house. It was decided that the former forced migrants should vacate the house, however, they are not complying with this requirement and, on the contrary, are demanding money.

The State Committee for Refugees and Forced Migrants reported that they are also aware of the circulated audio recording.

The Executive Authority of Gubadli district noted that a meeting was held with the specified family regarding the incident. However, the executive authority does not yet have any apartment on its balance for their temporary accommodation.
