Drugs found in cabbage imported to Azerbaijan

Employees of the Astara Customs Administration, as part of their operations, discovered and seized a large batch of narcotic substance - marijuana from illegal circulation.
As reported by BAKU.WS, this information was distributed by the State Customs Committee.
At the "Southern Astara" customs post, an X-ray inspection was conducted on a vehicle transporting a cargo of "cabbage" from the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Russian Federation in transit through the Republic of Azerbaijan. Then the cargo in the vehicle was subjected to customs inspection using a service dog from the canine unit.
During the inspection, 139 packages wrapped in foil, visually designed to look like heads of cabbage and hidden from customs control, were found inside the cargo. The total weight of the seized narcotic substance - marijuana together with packaging amounted to 39 kg 895 grams.
