Competitive selection for admission to the first grade has been canceled in a number of educational institutions

In some educational institutions of Azerbaijan, the competitive selection stage for admission of students to the first grade has been canceled.

The Agency for Preschool and General Education has informed about this.

The competition has been canceled at the "Ankara" school-lyceum, classical gymnasium No. 160, and the I. Hajiyev technical-humanitarian lyceum "Tereggi". Admission to these institutions will be carried out only on the basis of priorities and in a free order.

For priority educational institutions in Baku, Sumgayit, Ganja, and Absheron, the application period for schools with instruction in the Azerbaijani language will last from May 6 to June 5, and in other languages - from June 17 to July 17.

During these dates, applications will be accepted based on priority, and subsequently - in a free order.

Meanwhile, the process will end on September 12.
